PEX is an initiative of Professor Magna Inácio (DCP-UFMG), who is also the editor of this blog. Our research network has grown over the years, attracting collaborators from different parts of the world who study presidencies, executive-legislative relations, and cabinet politics.
Spreading this research agenda drives our work. We have been promoting research and joint publications, seminars, and theses and dissertations to increase and improve data availability on these topics.

THE PEX IS LINKED TO THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF MINAS GERAIS (UFMG)
UFMG is one of the most respected universities in Brazil and in the world. It produces high-quality and innovative research, particularly studies on democracies and politics. PEX is based on the Center for Legislative Studies (CEL) in the Political Science Department of UFMG. CEL a well-known center for studies on legislatures and governments, bringing together an exceptional group of scholars and students.
